FundiCard is a payment solution designed to make your learning world a lot more convenient. The FundiCard is like a debit card, but with various pockets to manage your spending on and off campus.

You can receive and activate your FundiCard quickly and easily at one of our FUNDI on-campus offices. Go to our website and select “Contact Us” to find our office nearest to you.
Please take your original Identity Document or passport with you.

  • Once your ID has been verified, the FUNDI representative will issue you with your FundiCard.
  • The FUNDI Rep will then help you to activate your card.
  • They will swipe your card on the FUNDI terminal and enter your student number / ID number.
  • You will then be required to enter a PIN number for your card. You will then need to re-enter your PIN so that it can be verified.
  • As soon as this is done, your card will be registered and you’re ready to transact!

Funds are loaded either by the institution/bursar or through instruction of the institution/bursar. Students should enquire at the Campus Financial Aid office or at their bursar/ sponsor.

Institutions and funders decide on the amount and pocket types. Students cannot transfer funding from 1 pocket to another pocket. It can only be done at the request of the funder, sponsor or institution.

Cash and transport allowances are paid via eft into the students’ personal bank accounts. You must upload your banking details via the FundiCard student portal. Go to https://mycard.fundi.co.za. Click on upload banking details and follow prompts

Go to https://mycard.fundi.co.za. and click on register - use alpha numeric and special characters in your password. If already registered – login. Click on “lock card tab” and click on “lock card”.

Please send an e-mail with a copy of your id and student card to fundicard@fundi.co.za with the following information: ID number; Student number; Old cell phone number: New cell phone number

Please enter merchant code: Your accommodation merchant will provide you with the 7-digit code
Please enter card number - enter the embossed number on your card and send

Confirm the details by entering 1 – continue with payment or cancel by entering 2 – return to menu
If you entered 1 you will receive a reference number which you should provide to the merchant

To register as a user, click here or on Register at the top of the Fundishop website and create an account. We’ll need your full name, e-mail address, a password of 5 characters, your gender and at least one contact number.

1. Find the product you wish to buy

Keyword search boxes are located on top of the page of the website.. When you find a product that interests you, click the title or name of the product to see its details.

2. Add to cart

Found the products you want to buy? Click on Add to cart. Your shopping cart contains all the products that you have selected to buy. Once you’ve added a product to your shopping cart, you can go back and keep searching and adding to your cart. You can access the contents of your shopping cart at any time by clicking on the cart button at the top right of any page on the Fundi Shop website. Products have to be in your shopping cart for you to check out.

3. Checkout

3.1. Click Proceed to Checkout after you’ve reviewed the items in your Shopping Cart.

3.2. If prompted, sign in to your account or create a new account if this is your first order.

Fundi loan is offered as a payment option on orders. It will appear as an available payment option when selecting a payment method. Choose Fundi Loan as a payment method and proceed with your purchase, a fundi consultant will contact you to assist with your fundi application. Alternatively, you may visit your nearest Fundi branch.

You are entitled to cancel your order prior to the point at which you receive delivery of your order. Should you wish to return the product thereafter, you can do so in accordance with our Returns Policy

If the order has not yet been finalised on your order page, it can simply be cancelled by going to your online profile and cancelling your order
